Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
My name is Sophia Dadd and I am a Senior who plays defense and named Captain for both the Frederick Gunn School and the Westchester Express U19 Tier 1 team.
Hockey is where my heart lies and where I feel completely at home. I love everything about it; the physicality, the speed, the competition, the camaraderie with my teammates, and even the dedication required through countless hours of training and practice.
My promise to you is that I will bring my unwavering work ethic and positivity to your program. I take pride in the work I put in on the ice, in the weight room, and in the classroom, and I’m determined to embrace and enjoy every moment of the journey.
Thank you for taking the time to review my profile and I would love the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to your team and learn more about your program.
Sincerely,
Sophia Dadd

Giving Back
For three summers, I have joined a service trip to impoverished towns in Appalachia to help families rebuild their homes. It is something I look forward to every year and love the impact we have on their lives. CLICK HERE to watch a speech I delivered at my school, sharing my personal experiences.
